The Design Consultation: We will spend some time together getting to know each other, learning your style and preferences, and designing the details of your Bay Area newborn or family photography session.

The Session: This is where the magic happens. Whether it’s a quiet newborn photography session in your home or my Alameda studio, or a fun filled family photography session at the beach, this is where we capture the unique beauty of your family.

The Ordering Appointment: This is the most fun and exciting part of the process. This is where you will get to view your images for the first time. We will work together to choose your favorite photos to make into works of art for your home.

Your Finished Artwork: It’s time to take your artwork home, and display your archival quality fine art portraits where you will get to enjoy them every day.

Questions About Your Session

Most families reserve their Bay Area newborn photography session during the second or early third trimester to ensure availability around their due date. I schedule newborn sessions approximately one week after your due date and adjust as needed once your baby arrives.

That said, if your baby is already here — or if you’re reaching out later in pregnancy — please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I intentionally leave space in my calendar each month for newborn sessions when possible.

Family and maternity sessions can typically be booked 4–8 weeks in advance, depending on the season.

If you’re hoping for a sooner date, you’re always welcome to reach out — I’ll gladly check availability.

Newborn, first year, and milestone sessions take place in my Alameda newborn photography studio or in your home.

Family and maternity sessions are photographed outdoors in beautiful natural light locations.

Absolutely. Newborn, family, and maternity sessions are designed to capture connection — and that often includes parents and siblings.

There’s never pressure to participate in every image. During your session, we can photograph a variety of combinations, and at your ordering appointment you’ll decide which images feel most meaningful to keep and display.

Newborn sessions typically last 1–2 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and capturing a relaxed variety of images.

Family and maternity sessions usually last about 45–60 minutes and are designed to feel natural and unhurried, while keeping things comfortable for young children.

After your session, we’ll schedule your ordering appointment where you’ll view your curated gallery and choose the collection and artwork that feel right for your family.

I’ll guide you through selecting your favorite images and deciding how you’d like them to live in your home — whether through fine art prints, heirloom albums, or custom wall displays. Once your selections are made, I professionally edit the images you choose and take care of all product ordering so everything arrives ready to enjoy.

Why I Became An Alameda Newborn & Family photographer

I grew up in the Bay Area, and after leaving briefly for college, I knew this was the place I wanted to come back to and raise my family. There’s something about the light here, the mix of nature and city, and the deep sense of community that has always felt like home to me. Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until I became a mother that it truly turned into my calling. Those early days with my own children opened my eyes to just how fleeting and meaningful this season is, and I found my passion in newborn and family photography.

Today, I work as a Bay Area newborn photographer serving families throughout the region, including newborn photography in San Francisco, Alameda and across the East Bay. I’m endlessly inspired by the beauty around us, from coastal beaches and open skies to tree-lined parks and classic neighborhood streets. Exploring favorite photography spots around the Bay Area allows me to create sessions that feel natural, relaxed, and deeply personal, whether we’re capturing newborn photos, baby photography, or meaningful family moments.
