About Your Maternity Photographer in the Bay Area

Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a maternity photographer in the Bay Area and mom of five. With five loud and energetic boys, I understand the beauty and chaos of family life and how much care it takes to bring everyone together.

That experience shapes the way I photograph families. I create sessions that feel easy, calm, and natural—embracing the movement, noise, and unpredictability as it unfolds. Rather than perfectly posing, I gently guide and allow kids to be kids, creating space for real connection so your session feels relaxed, unforced, and truly reflective of your family.

Frequently Asked Questions

A maternity photo session can take place either in my studio or outdoors. I’m happy to suggest some of my favorite maternity shoot locations in the Bay Area. The ideal time to take maternity photos is early in your third trimester, usually around 28-34 weeks.

A maternity session is an important milestone for the whole family. Older children and partners are encouraged to join in maternity sessions.

I recommend booking your maternity session early in your second trimester if possible. If, however, you are later in pregnancy, please reach out. I accept last minute bookings whenever possible.
