Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a newborn, family, and maternity photographer based in beautiful Alameda, California. With four loud and energetic boys of my own, I understand the beauty and chaos of family life.

As a mom, I truly grasp how quickly each stage of your child’s life unfolds and how rapidly they grow. My children sparked a profound appreciation for those fleeting, precious moments that make up our everyday lives. A family photo session can be held at any location you choose! We are so lucky to be surrounded by beautiful beaches, parks, and more. I’m also happy to offer suggestions of some of my favorite spots.

Children photograph best when they are happy and comfortable, which is why I always allow plenty of time for sessions. Typically, a family session lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour, giving children time to play, run around, and have fun, while also giving us their best smiles and expressions.

What should we bring to our family photo session?
My goal is to make your family session as easy and stress-free as possible. All you need to do is get yourself and your little ones ready for picture day—I’ll handle everything else! From managing the session to capturing those perfect moments, I’ve got it all covered. Just come ready to enjoy the experience, and I’ll take care of the rest.

I recommend you plan your portrait session at least one to two months in advance. This ensures I will have time in my calendar, and also gives us time to plan your ideal session, choose the perfect location, discuss clothing options, and more.
