Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a newborn, family, and maternity photographer based in beautiful Alameda, California. With four loud and energetic boys of my own, I understand the beauty and chaos of family life.

As a mom, I truly grasp how quickly each stage of your child’s life unfolds and how rapidly they grow. My children sparked a profound appreciation for those fleeting, precious moments that make up our everyday lives. Frequently Asked Questions

For the best results, ideally, your baby should be between 5 and 10 days old. During this period, they are typically very sleepy and easier to pose. 

However, if your baby is older, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I regularly photograph older babies and am happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when available.

Please schedule your newborn portrait session before your baby arrives, if possible. This allows me to photograph your baby at the ideal age of 5 to 10 days old.

Due to the unpredictable timing of newborn sessions, and to make sure I have availability when your newborn arrives, I accept a very limited number of newborn sessions each month. Please book your session as early as possible to secure your due date. I will do my best to accommodate late bookings if my schedule allows.

All newborn sessions are held in my home studio in Alameda. You’ll have plenty of space to relax, feed and cuddle your baby, have snacks, let your toddler play, and whatever else you need to stay comfortable. You’ll have access to my collection of blankets, wraps, props, headbands, bonnets, and other accessories so you don’t need to worry about outfits or any other details. This time is for you to relax while I handle everything!

We follow your babies cues, and take all the time we need to make sure your baby is happy and comfortable throughout the session. We leave plenty of time for feeding, diaper changes, cuddling and soothing to ensure a relaxed session. Most sessions typically last around 3 to 4 hours.

Yes! I encourage siblings and parents to be part of the session. The arrival of a new family member is such a special time, and I love involving the whole family in this important milestone.

The health and safety of your newborn are my highest priorities. As a fellow parent, I fully understand the importance of protecting a newborn’s delicate immune system. I take rigorous steps to ensure my studio and props are thoroughly clean and sanitized. If either the photographer or client is unwell, we will promptly reschedule the session to maintain a safe environment.

I am dedicated to safeguarding your baby’s well-being at all times. This means I avoid using unsafe poses or unstable props. Each pose is carefully designed to be both simple and comfortable, ensuring a secure and pleasant experience for your precious little one.
